India’s Predicted XI for 3rd Test

The playing XI in form of openrs, middle orders, wicket keeper, speener and faster bowler for India’s predicted XI for 3rd test are updated in this article below.

Short Summary of India’s playing XI for 3rd Test:

  • Openers- Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul
  • Middle Order- Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane
  • Wicket Keeper and All-rounder- Dinesh Karthik and Hardik Pandya
  • Spinner- R Ashwin
  • Fast Bowlers- Ishant Sharma, Mohammad Shami, Umesh Yadav

Openers– Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul

Indian cricket team is having total 3 candidate for the opening of the inning named Murali Vijay, Shikhar Dhawan, and KL Rahul, but none of them made an impact with bat in the first two test matches. In the first match, three of them were in the playing XI but following a poor performance both with the bat and in the field the team management left Shikhar Dhawan out of the playing XI.

And for now, we strongly believe that Murali Vijay will be out of the playing XI for the third match.

Hence, India’s playing XI for 3rd test will include openers like K L  Rahul and S. Dhawan.

Middle Order- Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane

india-vs-england-3rd-test-predicted-playing-xi

India’s playing XI for 3rd test will include the same middle order batsman who were available in 2nd test, Pujara, Kohli and Rahane.

Pujara had impressed with hit bat in the second test vs England as he scored 17 runs from 87 balls at a strike rate of 19.54.

Virat Kohli who was out of the ground for a while due to a back problem would continue to play for the team’s cause as India failed to register a win in the first two matches. His deputy Ajinkya Rahane will take care of the No.5 spot and looked good in the first innings of the second test match to score 18 runs but failed it to convert into a big score.

Wicket Keeper and All-rounder- Dinesh Karthik and Hardik Pandya

Image result for Hardik Pandya.

The wicket keeper would be the same DK and Pandya will be the all rounder India is seeking.

Rishabh Pant might have to wait for his Test debut as his experience is nothing when compared to Dinesh Karthik. As a keeper, one should not only score runs but also be sharp behind the stumps.

Spinner- R Ashwin

Most of the cricket fanatics wanted Kuldeep Yadav in the playing XI for the second Test and as expected Indian team management went for him ahead of the frontline seamer Umesh Yadav. This move failed as Kuldeep Yadav didn’t even take a single wicket and went for runs. Ashwin who helped India give a tough fight against England in the first Test failed to replicate the success and finished with 17-1-68-0 with an economy of 4.00.

Fast Bowlers- Ishant Sharma, Mohammad Shami, Umesh Yadav

Image result for Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav.

The trio of Ishant, Shami and Umesh will be back in the 3rd test again as Kuldeep didn’t show his swing’s magic in the second test.

Ishant Sharma who was the best performer in the first Test failed to make an impact as he finished with 22-4-101-1 with an economy of 4.59. Ishant will be a certainty for the third test as he has plenty of experience in this form of the game. Mohammad Shami who looked dangerous in the first test picking up quick wickets went on to show his class in the second test as well finishing with 23-4-96-3 with an economy of 4.17. He is also certainty in playing XI as he has loads of experience in this form of the game picking 113 wickets in his 31 Test matches.

Umesh Yadav who was out of the playing XI for the second Test match is very much likely to make it to the XI if Bumrah is unfit for selection. Umesh Yadav provides the extra pace and bounce which Indian seamers lacked in the test in Lords. These pacers would hold a key if India would like to make a strong comeback at Trent Bridge.

England’s Predicted XI for 3rd Test

Everything you need to know about the England’s predicted XI for the 3rd test is updated in this article alongwith Short Summary as under.

England’s playing XI Short Summary:

  • Openers: Alastair Cook and Keaton Jennings
  • Middle-Order: Joe Root (C), Ollie Pope, and Jos Buttler
  • Wicket-keeper: Jonny Bairstow
  • All-rounders: Chris Woakes and Sam Curran
  • Spinner: Adil Rashid
  • Pace Bowlers: Stuart Broad and James Anderson

Openers: Alastair Cook and Keaton Jennings

English cricket team will put the same openers on the place, named Cook and Jennings as they did nice with bat.

England v India: Specsavers 1st Test - Day One

Accompanying Cook would be the budding left-handed prodigy, Keaton Jennings. He has been moderately contributive in this series so far. Although the left-hander has failed to capitalize on his starts, he proves to be a grave threat to India when on song.

Thus, the Englishmen are least likely to tinker their opening combination for the third Test.

Middle-Order: Joe Root (C), Ollie Pope, and Jos Buttler

England v India: Specsavers 2nd Test - Day Two

The middle order of England predicted XI for 3rd test will include the captain Root,  new comer Pope and biggie Buttler.

Joe Root is the captain and he will be taking the No.3 spot in the third Test. Root has been brilliant in this series, both as a captain as well as a batsman. Unquestionably, Root will be crucial in the third Test if Englishmen want to close the series by the end of the third Test.

Ollie Pope, the right-handed prospect from Surrey, had a fairly decent run on his Test debut. With a promising 28 in the first innings and some vital contributions in the field, England is all set to give Pope a longer run in Test cricket. Thus, to clarify the fact, Ollie will be a part of the playing XI in the third Test.

England’s limited overs wicketkeeper, Jos Buttler, has put up an overly moderate show in this series so far. After failing in the first Test at Edgbaston, Buttler looked good with the bat in the second Test but was not able to convert his start to a good score. Nevertheless, Buttler is expected to hold his place in the playing XI for the third Test as well.

Wicket-keeper: Jonny Bairstow

England v India: Specsavers 2nd Test - Day Three

Bairstow will be the wicket keeper for England’s predicted XI for 3rd test.

Bairstow had a decent outing in the first Test as well as in the second Test. Thus, with a good form on his side, Bairstow is all set to feature in the playing XI for the third Test at Trent Bridge.

All-rounders: Chris Woakes and Sam Curran

England v India: Specsavers 2nd Test - Day Three

Chris Woakes, the Man of the Match in the previous Test against India, made his comeback to the Test cricket with an all-round performance in the second Test. His knock of 137* in the first innings of the second Test proved to be vital for England. Besides his handy knock, Woakes also shone in the bowling department with four wickets in the match. Thus, with Ben Stokes set to miss the third Test as well, Woakes is expected to confirm his place in the playing XI for the third Test.

Sam Curran, the young lad, has been the find of the series thus far. With umpteen all-round abilities, Curran has been a good asset for the Englishmen in this tour. Having contributed in both the departments, Curran boasts to be a menace to any opposition. Thus, Curran is most likely to retain his place in the playing XI for the third Test.

Spinner: Adil Rashid

England v India: Specsavers 1st Test - Day Two

Adil Rashid has been the most underused player in this series. After having bowled only 11 overs in the first Test, Rashid was not asked to bowl in the second Test considering the overcast conditions that assisted the pace bowlers.

With no deficiency of pace bowlers, Adil Rashid’s addition could assist the English bowling line-up with a lot of variety. Thus, Rashid is expected to retain his place in the playing XI for the third Test against India.

Pace Bowlers: Stuart Broad and James Anderson

England v India: Specsavers 2nd Test - Day Two

The pacers will be none other than the most successful in this series Anderson and Broad.

Anderson impressed everyone across the India for his killers swings and he was highest wicket taker for the England cricket team in the second test match.

Broad also got success with ball and he also got good swing and as a result he also picked few wickets in the second test match.

England’s Dream11 Predicted Playing XI

England’s dream11 predicted playing XI are expected to be as under.
