Overview
In 2009, FC Carolina Alliance developed the
FCCA Speed, Agility & Technical (SAT) program
to improve FCCA players confidence, speed, power, agility and technical abilities. The SAT program has been designed for FCCA Academy, Challenge and Classic level players as a supplementary training session through the fall and spring seasons. SAT classes are free to FCCA members.
Program Goal
The objective of the FCCA S.A.T. Program is to provide FCCA players with the necessary instructions, so they can technically master the soccer ball which will provide them with the confidence they need to play faster/smarter in practice & games.

Program Description
The SAT program is offered in the fall and spring seasons over an 8-10 week period. Each 1.5 hr SAT class is comprised of an intense 45 minute session on speed and agility and an intense 45 minute technical session
.
SAT classes focus on the following key areas:
Physical dominance - stop, start, acceleration to
maximize speed.
Power and Balance - lateral, linear agility and dynamic
flexibility.
Neuro-soccer development - increased foot/eye
coordination.
Technical mastery of the ball - muscle memory and proper
techniqu

Homework
In order to technically master the ball, players will be expected to perform the exercises and drills demonstrated during the SAT program 5 days per weeks for 30 minutes per day. The SAT program is designed to provide players with the necessary instructions so they can become technically proficient.
It is up to the player, though, to master those instructions
outside of the sessions.
