SAT TrainingS.A.T. Program - Speed, Agility, Technical

Overview

In 2009, FC Carolina Alliance developed the FCCA Speed, Agility & Technical (SAT) program to improve FCCA players confidence, speed, power, agility and technical abilities. The SAT program has been designed for 8 to 19yr. olds as a supplementary training session through the fall and spring seasons. FCCA SAT classes are included in your FCCA club fees.
 

Program Goal

The goal of the program is to help FCCA players increase their coordination, strength,   running mechanics, overall body awareness and technical proficiency with the ball.
 
Program Philosophy

The S.A.T. philosophy is to foster a safe, positive environment, that promotes psychological, physical, and technical soccer development for players of all genders, age, and skill levels.

Program Description

The program is offered over 8 -10 week period from fall to spring. Each session is comprised of a 45 minutes speed and agility  portion and a 45 minute technical session.

  • Proper running technique that focuses on start, acceleration, and maximum efforts in speed development

  • Strength development to aid  in the players explosiveness required in the game of soccer

  • Lateral, linear agility, and dynamic flexibility

  • Technical mastery of the ball

SAT classes run from 6:00pm-7:30pm at Hayes Soccer Complex field #1, for the month of February and from 6:00pm-7:30pm at Frank Liske Park field #2, for the month of March.
