Middle Schools
FCCA is hosting the 2010 Middle School Program. We are using Oasys online system to manage player registration, league scheduling and communication.
Players:
This program is open to all 7th and 8th grade boys and girls.
Any interested player/parent is asked to go to our website, www.fccasoccer.com to register a student for their team once they have been selected for their schools roster. Upon entering the FCCA website, you must create a user name and password. The program will then take you through the registration process. If you have any questions, please call the office at 704.597.5150.
Program Cost:
League cost is $100 per player which includes a uniform top.
When registering online, you may pay the $100 by credit card or check.
Teams:
1. Each school will hold a try-out. FCCA believes that if a child wants to play, we will find a place for them. If there are enough willing players who would like to be involved, more than one team can be formed to facilitate their needs. If sufficient players are not available to make an all boys team or an all girls team, then you may field one co-ed team to play in the boy’s division.
Matches:
1. Matches will be played on Thursdays and Fridays. The amount of actual league games scheduled for each team depends on the total number of teams that register for play.
2. Matches will start at 5:15pm and 6:30pm. Each Middle School will play once on Thursday and once on Friday.
3. All matches are played at Frank Liske Park Soccer Complex, 4001 Stough Rd. Concord, NC
4. Matches consist of two, 30 minute halves. No extra time will be played during regular season games.
5. Play is 11 v 11 soccer. A team must field a minimum of 7 players to start and play a counting match; otherwise a forfeit “win” is awarded to the team with the necessary number of players present. The forfeit win is recorded as 1-0. If neither team can field the minimum number the match is a forfeit tie recorded as 1-1.
6. Fields are 115 X 70 yards with 8 x 24 ft. goals. Size 5 match balls are supplied by FCCA.
7. Two person “ Referee System” is utilized.
8. After league play is complete, teams will be seeded for the season ending tournament based on their respective regular season record. Any “ties” in determining the tournament seeding, will be broken by looking at “ head to head” competition, then total goals against and as a last resort, if teams are still tied, a total goals for.
9. Regular season league rules will apply, except that in the case of any “tie” during tournament play, teams will be asked to play two 10 minute extra periods, followed by “ penalty kicks”, if the game remains tied after extra time is completed.
10. A team trophy is awarded to the season ending tournament champion, and individual player medals are awarded to both the finalist team members and championship team members.
