Classic Coaching Staff

The Classic Coaching staff at FCCA has been handpicked by the club’s Directors of Coaching to provide one of the most educated coaching staff in the North Carolina. Each coach at FCCA is placed into a 2 year age block based on their specific style of coaching and education.

FCCA believes this is an important process which is carefully monitored at the end of every season, in preparation for the next seasons staffing placements and player evaluation.

Every Coach at FCCA is evaluated by their respective Directors of Coaching at the end of each season. These evaluations are conducted to give our staff feedback on their performance throughout the season. We feel this is a vital part of growth within our club by keeping top quality Coaches working together with FCCA.

Executive Director of Soccer
Shane Carew

As Executive Director, Carew oversees player development, guidance and coaching responsibilities for all players under the FC Carolina program. A professional player at Shelbourne FC, Kilkenny City and Long Island Rough Riders, Carew represented Ireland at the 2003 World Student Games. A three-time All-Conference selection at UNC Charlotte, Carew also recieved National Team of the Week honors. Carew holds a UEFA B License, multiple USSF Licenses, serves on the NC ODP Staff and holds a BA in English and Communication Studies. Email: shane@fccasoccer.com

Boys Director of Coaching
Jason Osborne

A youth player at Derby County in the English Premier League, former England Futsal and World Student Games International, Jason went on to play and captain Stetson University, where he recently became a Hall of Fame Inductee. Jason oversees the boys program at FCCA. The former Associate Head Coach at Gardner-Webb University, Jason holds a Masters in Business Administration, a UEFA B License and multiple USSF Licenses. jason@fccasoccer.com

Girl's Director of Coaching
Courtney Crandell

Former Collegiate standout at UNC Charlotte and Auburn University, Crandell oversees the girls program at FCCA and the Recreation Program. Crandell was an NSCAA 1st team All-American and was called in to train with the U23 US National Team while at Charlotte. A W-League National Champion for the Hampton Roads Piranhas, Crandell holds a B.A. in Sociology and Criminology. courtney@fccasoccer.com

Director of Coaching - Huntersville
Andrew Steedman

Former Clydebank FC club secretary, Andrew Steedman oversees the FCCA Huntersville program. Steedman worked with multiple professional youth teams throughout his time in Scotland before starting Strikers Soccer Center.
