Executive Director of Soccer
Shane Carew
   

   As Executive Director Shane oversees all FCCA programs: Boy’s and Girl’s Classic, Challenge, Academy, Junior Programs (Munchkins and Pre-Academy), Middle School, and Goalkeeping. In addition Shane also serves on the North Carolina Olympic Development Program (ODP) staff.

Prior to serving as Executive Director Shane was the Director of the Boy’s Classic program at FCCA, and is a former president of the Charlotte Area Youth Soccer League (CAYSL).

Shane played at Shelbourne FC and Kilkenny City in his native Ireland. After moving to the United States Shane played for UNC Charlotte between 2001 and 2003 where he was a three-time All-Conference selection and received National Team of the Week honors. In addition, during his time at UNCC Shane was selected to the Irish national team to play in the 2003 World University Games. After leaving college Shane played with the Long Island Rough Riders (NY) professional team.
 
Shane holds both UEFA “B” and USSF “B” soccer coaching licenses and graduated from UNCC in 2004 with a BA in English and Communication Studies.

Girl's Director of Coaching,  Goal Keeping Director
Jason Strange
   

As Director of the Girl’s Classic Soccer program Jason is responsible for all aspects of FCCA girl’s soccer. In addition, in his duel role as Director of Goalkeeping Jason is responsible for all facets of FCCA’s goalkeeping development program. He is also currently serving his third year as a member on the North Carolina Olympic Development Program (ODP) staff.

Jason served an assistant coach for the women's soccer program at Greensboro College from 2008-2011. In addition, Jason served as the Director of Goalkeeping for Greensboro Youth Soccer (NC) from 2008-2011. Jason was also a classroom teacher for 3 years, teaching severe and profound special education.
 
Jason played his collegiate soccer at UNC Chapel Hill and was a goalkeeper for the 2001 National Champion Tar Heel team. He currently holds a USSF “C” license and a NSCAA regional goalkeeping license.
 
Jason graduated for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2008 with a BS in Exercise and Sports Science with a focus in Sports Administration.

Director of Coaching - Huntersville
Andrew Steedman
   

Former Clydebank FC club secretary, Andrew Steedman oversees the FCCA Huntersville program.  Steedman worked with multiple professional youth teams throughout his time in Scotland before starting Strikers Soccer Center.


Director of Challenge and Academy Programs 
Luke Exley
   

As Director of the Academy Soccer program Luke is responsible for all aspects of FCCA Academy soccer. In addition, Luke also serves as Director of FCCA’s Challenge League program. He is also currently serving his second year as a member on the North Carolina Olympic Development Program (ODP) staff.

Prior to serving as Director of Academy and Challenge soccer Luke was responsible for FCCA’s Recreation program, and throughout college served as an FCCA staff coach.
Luke is a former Academy player for the Barnsley FC professional soccer team in his native England, where he also represented the county of South Yorkshire as a school boy. Luke played four years at UNC Charlotte where he captained the team in his senior year and achieved numerous individual honors, including: Conference Player of the Week, selection to the National Team of the Week and the All-Conference Second Team, the David Schlee Dedication Award (2009), and the UNCC Team MVP award in his senior year.
 
Luke holds a National Youth License and graduated from UNCC in 2010 with a B. S. in Exercise Science.

Boys Director of Coaching
Jason Osborne
   

As Director of the Boy’s Classic Soccer program Jason is responsible for all aspects of FCCA boy’s soccer. He is also currently serving his third year as a member on the North Carolina Olympic Development Program (ODP) staff.

Prior to serving as Boy’s Director Jason was the Associate Head Coach at Gardner-Webb University (NC) and help lead the Runnin’ Bulldogs to the second round of the NCAA tournament during his 4 year tenure.
Jason is a former youth player for the Derby County professional soccer team in the English Premier League.
After moving to the United States Jason went on to play and captain Stetson University (FL), where he recently became a Hall of Fame Inductee. Jason was selected to represent Great Britain at the World University Games for two separate tours (Turkey 2005 and Thailand 2007). He was also selected to play for the England Futsal team receiving 6 caps and a tour of Romania. 
 
Jason holds a UEFA “B” license and is currently pursuing a USSF “B” license.
Jason graduated from Stetson University in 2004 with a BA in Business Administration and from Gardner Webb University in 2007 with an MBA.
